Since opening in 1909 Selfridges & Co has remained, after Harrods, the second largest department store in the UK and is home to the UK’s largest beauty department. It is also said to have the busiest doorway in Europe with 250,000 people a week passing through the doors on Oxford Street.
Selfridges is famed for its extravagant displays in the 27 windows along Oxford Street. The Selfridges window displays are so incredible they consistently attract tourists, fashionistas and designers who marvel at the latest trends. Photos of the displays are published in magazines and newspapers such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, the New York Times, Dwell and many more around the world.
Selfridges is also a great place to go to grab a bite to eat with the huge foodhall presenting Krispy Kreme, Yo! Sushi, Pinkberry, Lola’s Cupcakes and the Champagne & Oyster Bar amongst other tasty offerings.
